Holiday Gift Guide| 2013

This guide is more suited toward high school and college-aged young adults. If you're having trouble figuring out what to get a loved-one for Christmas, maybe some suggestions will help!

Gift cards. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a gift card. I feel they are a touch more personal than a cash or a check, but they essentially hold the same purpose. Target and Walmart are great because you can get basically everything you need there. If you're shopping for a boy, Gamestop might be a good option. For a girl, Ulta and Sephora are always nice. I think most people would appreciate a Starbucks gift card as well. There is a list below of suggestions on where to get a gift card. When in doubt, choose Target or Walmart!

Gas cards. If the person you are shopping for has a car, they will absolutely appreciate a gas card.

Clothes. It can be tricky to shop for clothes for other people, but you just have to make sure you know the person well enough. A nice pajama set is always nice. A stylish winter coat (I would personally prefer a simple pea-coat). A cute pair of running shoes. TOMS. Scarves. Just base it off of what you normally see the person wearing.

Cell Phone Cases. Just know what type of phone they have (ask their parents/relatives if they might be getting a new one for Christmas) and a cute case would be nice for anyone. I know most people my age prefer relatively slim cases that are stylish and appealing but still offer protection. This type of case is awesome! (I have this one on my phone right now!)

Cosmetics. I wouldn't suggest getting them foundations or powder or anything like that. Color matching can be difficult! I would suggest a palette. If they like eye shadow, I would suggest the Urban Decay Vice 2 or the Lorac PRO Palette (This set is only around for the holidays). I personally would prefer the latter. The Naked Palettes are always nice. The Naked 3 was just released, but it's already sold out everywhere! You can pre-order it online.

Perfume/Cologne Sets. Sets are such a great idea- they come in a box with a few different items and are usually a great deal. You can get a "sampler" set, where there are several different scents that they can try. Or you can opt for a set of one scent with the perfume, maybe a rollerball and a lotion or something like that. I know most female young adults tend to enjoy Juicy Couture's "Viva la Juicy". And, I hate to say it, but I really like Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears' perfumes...

Accessories. Jewelry is always great for girls. A nice simple handbag/cross body might be something to look into. Watches are great for men. Wallets are also a great idea for both girls and boy.

If you are REALLY not sure what to get someone, a pre-loaded gift card is nice. Like a Vanilla Gift card or something like that! I hope this list helped you out a little bit. See below for gift card suggestions (these are also great stores to get them gifts at!)
